A great moment!!

I came to my cubicle after having that wonderful birthday(my b'day rather!) celebration in the team room.And I saw two missed calls on my mobile.It was from an unknown number.I thought that it would probably be some of my skool frnd and called back.I heard a guy's voice and I couldnt recognize the voice.

'Hey Praja,Happy B'day!!How are you doing?'

'Thanx!Thanx a lot!!I am doing good.How are you doing?'

'I am fine'

'By the way,may I know who is this?'

'Hey..I have seen u so many times at office.U must have also seen me.I wanted to talk to u since long.Just waited for the right time.Thought ur b'day was the right time to talk to u for the first time and hence waited for a really long time'

[Okay!!All this flowery talks made me think that it must be Ms.C's friend and this was all the plan of Ms.C and Ms.B to surprise me on my B'day.This had almost become a trend in our grp to give such surprises on evry1's bday.But,Poor Ms.C..She never happens to get all such thngs on her bday as we all go home for vacation during her bdays..Now returning to the phone call..Btw..It was just a guess that it would be Ms.C's friend who is talking to me and hence I continued to take it light and just dint ask too many questions]

'Okay Good!!You neednt tell me who you are!And thanx a lot for wishing!'

'Fine.Do u mind meeting today at the pizza hut and spend some time with me?'

'yup sure..May be arnd 8 pm'

'Okay then..Nice talking to u sweety(!!)..vil cya in the evening.I am a little busy now.Will call u back when I am free'

'Yup sure..Bye..Cya' And there ends the call.I was pretty sure that it must be Ms.C's friend and dint make it a big issue or even give it a second thought.

Now,I got a sms."Hi da.It was so very nice talking to you.Tat too on your birthday.Good i waited for tis day so long dear".

I dint reply.After 17 minutes,I get another sms from the same number "?".Thats it.That was the whole sms.

I replied."I am a bit busy rite nw.Will call u in the eve".

I had no mood to work on my bday.I was generally doing time pass at office and so left the office at 5.30 pm and reached the pg at 6.00 pm.I cald him up and asked him if its ok for him to come at 7.00 pm.He said it was fine.

He called me up at 7 and told me that he was caught up in the traffic.

'Okay..Take ur time',I said.

I got another msg tht he would be thr in half an hr in 10 mins.Okay I waited.(Hoping that it would be Ms.C's frnd).By this time,I called up both MS.C and Ms.B and asked them to stop playing pranks on me and tell me who was the guy who was calling me."I have no clue about what u r talking about.Anyways have a nice time" was the answer from both of them.But I still believed that it was all their work.Finally at arnd 7.40 pm,he called me and told that he was there in the pizza hut.And I walked to the pizza hut.

I went there in front of the pizza hut and called him up.

'Hey,I am here.Where are you?'

'Just turn arnd and see..And u can find me'

'Even if u r in front of me,I cant recognize u..What do I do?'

'Okay!!Just gimme a minute,and I shall come to u'

'Okay..come. Bye'

And I was waiting for the surprise(that I thought my friends had arranged for me).

In a minute or so,the pizza hut guy (one amng those who serve in the pizza hut) comes and talks to me.

'Hii mam,you are Praja?'

'Yes,I am'

'Happy B'day mam..Please come in'

'Thanx a lot!Ya..coming' and I went in.[ a little scared..This was the first minute that I got a small doubt if it was really Ms.C and Ms.B doing all this or is there really someone else doing it(?!)]

'Where do u want to sit mam? The sofa chair or the open chair?'

Oh God!!I started getting scared and was thinking that I should have given a second thot before coming to pizza hut just because some unknown person tells me to do so.

'Anything is ok for me'

'Its ur bday mam..u can choose'

Okay..and I sat in the chair that was closest to me.Then the guy asked "Do u want somethng to drink,mam"

'No thanx.Can u temme who is doing all this?"

'Its us ,mam',and smiles and moves away.

Us?My brain was nt thinking anything (I was that very scared thnking who was going to come).After a few seconds,this pizza hut guy comes again and gives me two roses and wishd happy bday.I thanked him and called Ms.B.And that idiot,"Hey Praja..Wassup?I am on the roads"..I told her everythng.She said "Good man!!having a good time on ur bday..keep updating frequently..Have fun!Tata"

And now I called the guy(nt to be confused with the pizza hut guy [:P]).'Hey ..Where are you?Whats happening'

'ya ya..I vil be there n 2 mins'

'No..u need to be here in a min.I am sitting here ..totally lost.Come fast'
[I dont knw how i said this to some guy whom I dint evn knw]



'Ok sweety(??!!)'and hangs the phone.

By this time,the pizza hut guys had brought a table near me and put a cake on it.And they started singing and dancing.I was very scared that I dint even listen wat they were singing [must be a bday wish].I asked the guy who was standing near me again "Who has arranged for all this?"

'I dont knw ,mam' was the answer.And once the song and dance was over,they asked me to blow the candle and cut the cake.

'Perfect!..I am not cutting the cake until u guys temme who is doing all this'.My hands were shivering.

Ms.C and Ms.B then slowly came out of the kitchen(?!) wishing me a happy b'day.Oh God!!I was relaxed.

'Have u guys gone crazy?'

'No babe..And Happy B'day!! and blow the candle and cut ur cake'

'Thanx a lot ppl..But I was really scared during the last few moments'

'Hehe..U expected a guy,is it?'

And the conversations continued.We had our dinner there and then returned.Had a great evening that day!!Thanx a lot ppl!!Worst part of the day was when I called my mom and told this.My mom said "U dumb gal..What if it had not been ur frnds?Will u just go anywhr if sum1 just calls u?"

'No mom...' and had to give some blah blah explanations to stop her yelling at me.

Another thng that needs to be remebered in the incident is Ms.B paid the bill using her credit card and she forgot to give those guys a tip.She went to pizza hut again three days later to give him his tips.[:)]

P.S. : The guy who had called me and messaged me was Ms.C's frnd.
